Death numbers have been buoyed by other factors:

The COVID-19 death rate is 0.00000366 or 3 in a million in South Africa. Yet they have been forced into a lockdown with the rest of the world.
Why are microbiologists, public health officials, and the news media, ignoring an ongoing greater epidemic that is already killing millions? Why is the order to lockdown and quarantine issued for a far less deadly coronavirus infection?
Infectious disease experts appear to be leading the world to a literal dead end.
